Klimt-Inspired Shoot
(July 2017)
Rich and Strange Photography & I decided to do an artsy water shoot. Ideas were tossed around, and we seized on the work of Gustav Klimt as our inspiration and theme.
Design 1: Inspired by PORTRAIT OF ADELE BLOCH BAUER I. Black and gold machine embroidered poly taffeta bodice with cutout; straps and lower section of gold satin and grommet laced front reinforced with steel boning; capelet of purple/gold warp/weft poly and a gold satin collar; attached wrap skirt of purple poly taffeta. Bodice heavily hand-beaded.
Design 2: Inspired by PORTRAIT OF SONJA KNIPS. High collared Edwardian styled midi dress of warm gray chiffon with metallic silver stripes; white belt with metallic gold stripes and gold beading; bodice detailed with gold chain and gold, blue, and pearl beads. Dress bodice flatlined with same fabric to reduce transparency.

hems not finished/ skirt will be attached to bottom of bodice, so grommets and finishing on that lower edge are left off until beading is done
